FIRST BUNKERING VESSEL FOR TOKYO BAY

Congratulations to Ecobunker Shipping Co., Ltd, a joint venture including SEA-LNG members YKIP, Uyeno Marine Service, and Sumitomo Corporation on the launch of MV Ecobunker Tokyo Bay, the first LNG bunker vessel in Tokyo Bay.

This event marks another significant step forward in establishing LNG bunkering infrastructure in Japan.

The expansion of LNG bunkering facilities globally affirms the case for LNG as a marine fuel, and one that is quickly gaining popularity within key maritime nations.

The two-hour launch ceremony took place in Fukuoka shipyard, with the highlight being the blessing puja held in Shintoism tradition.
